Experience VCU inside … and out

As a Summer Scholar, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in a number of activities. Experiences have included:

• Whitewater rafting on the James River
• Community engagement activities
• Visits to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
• Walking tours of the surrounding campus area, including Hollywood Cemetery and Belle Isle
• End-of-term banquet

Virginia Commonwealth University sits in the heart of Richmond, or RVA as we like to call it. The capital of Virginia, Richmond is a thriving urban community full of arts, culture, history, nature and more. Home to seven Fortune 500 companies, the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, and state and federal government agencies, the city provides VCU students with opportunities for internships and employment beyond graduation. No matter what your passion, you will be able to satisfy it here. It may be hard for you to do it all, even in four years!
