Once a Summer Scholar, always a Summer Scholar

Summer Scholars status does not end with the conclusion of the program. Participating students receive ongoing support straight through graduation. Perks include, but are not limited to:

• Access to personalized resources through the Office of Special Programs (Hibbs Hall, Room 201).
• Guidance from peer mentors and the opportunity to become a mentor after freshman year.
• Mid-year reunions to catch up with Summer Scholar friends and meet Summer Scholars from prior years.
• First-gen Summer Scholars will have the opportunity to attend the student-organized first-gen national AL1GN conference (limited availability; application-based) and other opportunities to participate in special events like the National First-Gen College Celebration Day.
• Summer Scholars who are part of an academic track will form lasting connections with administrators from their school or college.
